This is how it felt in Tokyo. Everywhere you look, there’s something mind boggling. It was even stranger and more inspiring than I had expected, this Super 8mm and HD collage movie comes close to reflecting my unique experience there.
Thanks to Becky Gessert, I was lucky enough to receive a generous grant to be a visiting artist at The American School in Japan, where she and her husband Mark Johnson teach in Tokyo. Between several film making and animation workshops I led at the school, I got lost all over the place and took a bunch of pictures and ate alot of sushi.
